KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Drought conditions expanded in the central and southern Plains where winter wheat is struggling to grow according to the U.S. Drought Monitor report released this week.

Almost all of Kansas has been in moderate to severe drought, but this update added an area of extreme drought in the center of the wheat state.  Extreme western Kansas continues to be in an extreme drought.

The Texas Panhandle is in an exceptional drought, which is the Monitor’s highest drought rating, as well as the western edge of Oklahoma.  Extreme drought conditions continue in northern Texas and western Oklahoma.

Drought conditions continue in southeastern Colorado, with some areas of extreme drought.
