Sunday Baroque

Sundays from 9:00 am to noon CT
  • Hosted by Suzanne Bona

Sunday Baroque features Baroque and early music written before 1750. Composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, and Handel were the cornerstones of this era, with favorites including The Water Music, Royal Fireworks Music, and the Brandenburg Concertos. Hosted by Suzanne Bona, Sunday Baroque celebrates the current wealth of recorded music with great performances by yesterday's and today's best performers.

High Plains Morning was thrilled to welcome back Chamber Music Amarillo this morning. David Palmer, Michael Palmer, and Guli Manfredi stopped by to remind you that this Saturday, January 11th is their annual Concerto Extraordinaire!, the annual celebration of classical mastery in the Texas Panhandle. As always, it’s one night only & tickets go fast – so don’t miss it!

Thanks so much to Guli Manfredi of WTAMU and Isannah Gonzales of Chamber Music Amarillo for stopping by High Plains Morning today to chat about the 3rd classical concert for CMA’s 22nd season: The Heroic Journey of Life!

Sometimes, one's morning radio show gets REALLY CLASSY when classical performance musicians show up with instruments and an amp. And thankfully, "sometimes" was today!

High Plains Morning thanks our esteemed partners at Amarillo College for the live, in-studio mini-concert on High Plains Morning. It was our pleasure to host Camille Day Nies (viola), Tiffany McDaniel (violin), and Dr. Diego Caetano (piano).
