KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at 15% of power, limiting its signal strength and range in the Amarillo-Canyon area. This due to complicated problems with its very old transmitter. Local engineers are continuing to work on the transmitter and are consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR Mix service or HPPR Connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Live coverage of the final presidential debate on HPPR

HPPR will provide live coverage of the final presidential debate on all of its broadcast stations and web stream on Monday, October 22, starting at 8 pm CT.  The debate will focus on domestic policy and follow the same format as the first debate.  There will be six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on topics selected by the moderator, Bob Schieffer, Chief Washington Correspondent, CBS News and Moderator, Face the Nation.  He will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.

HPPR’s coverage will include broadcast of the 90 minute debate in its entirety, followed by analysis by NPR.  Senior Washington editor Ron Elving will host the analysis and be accompanied by analysts E.J. Dionne and Matt Continetti, several NPR policy reporters, as well as Mara Liasson and Don Gonyea, the traveling campaign reporters covering the Romney and Obama campaigns respectively.  HPPR.org will feature a live chat hosted by NPR's Frank James as well as live blogging from NPR’s It’s All Politics blog.
