KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Martin accepts Dodge decision not to merge

The merger of Fort Hays State University and the Dodge City Community College failed.  The DCCC Board of Trustees voted 3-3 to continue the merger process reportedHutch News.  Mira Martin is the president of FHSU.  She issued an official statement saying Fort Hays State University was prepared to continue exploring the merger, but the decision to proceed or not was always the responsibility of the Dodge City trustees.

Martin expressed her best wishes for DCCC as well as continued commitment to provide any educational needs the community college cannot.
