Texas Music Office

Folks, we have a fantastic ol' timey jazz-folk duo for you. Their sound evokes a bygone era, so if you love tunes from the 20s, 30s, and 40s, as well as gypsy jazz and swing music, you'll dig the Paper Moon Shiners. They'll bust out some mouth trumpet, kazoo, enchanting vocals, and a lot of fancy pickin'. Mark your calendars, and we'll see you there!

High Plains Public Radio wants to thank Tom McDaniel, Co-Founder and Chairman for the Songwriter Serenade, for his time this week. He joined me over the phone to share information about his exciting event, which takes place Saturday, May 4th in Moravia, Texas. (The contest is now open, though!)

High Plains Public Radio & the Amarillo Art Institute present the 3rd Annual Chase the Sunset: Art & Music in Palo Duro Canyon!

On Saturday, August 11th, HPPR & AAI invite kids of the High Plains to CHASE THE SUNSET with a celebration of art, music, & nature to bid the summer a final farewell.

To quote The Boss, "You can't start a fire without a spark." So High Plains Public Radio wants to thank model humans Lindsey Verrill and Jeff Johnston for burning their end-of-tour flame on the Texas Panhandle.
