Lecture by Award-Winning Author, David Wright Falade, Former Amarillo &; Borger Resident
The writer, David Wright Faladé, will be giving a lecture at the downtown Amarillo Public Library at 7:00 p.m. He is an essayist and novelist. His 2022 novel, Black Cloud Rising was listed by the New York Times as one of the Best Books of 2022. He grew up in Amarillo and then in Borger where his dad was the only Black person in the sheriff’s department. David himself played football for Borger High school.
