Elected in 1960 as the 35th president of the United States, 43-year-old John F. Kennedy became the youngest man to hold that office. This year, 2013, is the 50th anniversary of his assassination in Dallas, TX on November 22, 1963.
The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum is hosting, “An Insider’s View of the JFK Assassination,” on November 7th, 6:30pm, at the Hazlewood Lecture Hall. The Hall is located inside the museum in Canyon, Texas.
The evening’s featured guest is Dr. Don T. Curtis. Dr. Curtis will discuss his experience as part of the Parkland Memorial trauma team treating the wounded president and what he learned after the assassination.
Following the lecture, there will be a one hour screening of, “American Experience Presents: JFK,” courtesy of Panhandle PBS
