5th Annual Amarillo Northside Community Park Tour Kicks Off This Weekend

Jay Parker and Tony Johnson (DJ Tonee J) stopped by High Plains Morning this week to spread the word about a fun, outdoor party they’re hosting in Sam Houston Park this Saturday in Amarillo. This bash is one of two events they’re holding to join the city together for a common love of music. Jay, who is the Executive Director of the Black Historical Cultural Center, also works with the Amarillo United Citizens Forum. He looks forward to seeing the Amarillo community come together for a day of music, dancing, food, and unity.

This weekend’s party will kick off at 4p CT with a full lineup, so head out to the park for a day on the grass with music, food, and community spirit. All are welcome, and be sure to wish DJ Tonee Jai a happy birthday! “We hope to restore a sense of cohesion to Amarillo that’s been lost since the Covid pandemic,” Jay stated. “We want to remind Amarillo how especially diverse this city is, and it’s a great time to showcase the services that North Heights residents and businesses have been doing.”
