Our translator station serving St. Francis and Cheyenne County at 96.3 FM is off the air due to an air conditioning breakdown at its leased transmitter site, making it too hot for HPPR's equipment to operate. We are currently working to fix the situation. We apologize for the loss of service and ask listeners to tune to KZNK at 90.1 FM or listen on line through the player above or HPPR's mobile app.

Confection/Perfection: Amarillo Opera Presents an All-Paper Production of "Hansel & Gretel"—ONE NIGHT ONLY (Saturday)

When you hear about an all-paper production of a classic fairy tale coming to the High Plains, performed in the original German, you have to learn more. So thanks to Mary Jane Johnson (General & Artistic Director, Amarillo Opera) & Fenlon Lamb (Director, Papermoon Opera Productions) for stopping by High Plains Morning to talk about the new show, Hansel & Gretel. It’s for ONE NIGHT ONLY, this Saturday, Oct. 2nd at 7:30 pm CT at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts (500 S. Buchanan, Amarillo). This is the Amarillo Opera’s first show since Fall 2019, so you won’t want to miss it.

Standby for the full interview with Mary Jane and Fenlon!
