Thanks to Victoria Todd of Wildcat Bluff Nature Center for stopping by HPPR to tell us more about “Plan to Get Lost,” a new, two-part series for adults and kids of age 11 and up, focused on what to do if you’re ever lost in the wilderness. Hosted by Texas Master Naturalists Wayne Benson and Bill Briggs, this hands-on program will teach you how to purify water, make a shelter, find food, get yourself “unlost,” deal with a fire, and much more.
You'll need to bring a day pack, water, lunch and some trails snacks. Space is limited to 20 participants age 11 and up. The cost is $25 per person, which includes all instruction, trail fees and a reference binder to take home. The first part is Saturday, October 30th; the second part is Saturday, November 13th. Both days will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm CT. For tickets and information, click here. To hear the full interview, click the link at the top of the page.
