KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

The Word Made Flesh: Slam Poet Ray McNiece Featured Tonight at WTAMU

Poetry was in full swing today on High Plains Morning when Dr. Eric Meljac stopped by with slam poet Ray McNiece, who will perform tonight in Canyon, TX at WTAMU's Dorothy Patterson Poetry Series.

Today on High Plains Morning, we were transported to Boston, New Orleans, Cleveland, and Mother Russia, thanks to our chat with award-winning, internationally touring slam poet, Ray McNiece. He’s performing tonight at 7pm CT in Canyon, Texas at WTAMU’s Dorothy Patterson Poetry Series. He was joined by Dr. Eric Meljac, Assistant Professor of English and Director of Creative Writing, whose department sponsors the series. Ray will be performing some of his work TONIGHT, November 3rd, AT 7PM CT, on campus at WT in Legacy Hall, inside the Jack B. Kelley Student Center, on WT’s Canyon campus. It’s totally open to the public, so come on down for this cool event. (Note: There will be a recording of this performance available soon! Standby for the link!) Ray will be signing copies of his books following the event.
