KZNA-FM 90.5 serving northwest Kansas will be off the air starting the afternoon of Monday, October 20 through Friday as we replace its aging and unreliable transmitter. While we're off-air, you can keep listening to our digital stream directly above this alert or on the HPPR mobile app. This planned project is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining free and convenient access to public radio service via FM radio to everyone in the listening area. It's Electric!: Center City Hosts Annual Electric Light Parade TONIGHT in Downtown Amarillo

Jenny, Beth, & Ruth Ellen -- feelin' the electric, holiday spirit!

Don't miss Center City's first-ever REVERSE Electric Light Parade! It starts at 6:00 pm CT, TONIGHT -- Friday, December 3rd. Cars enter at 15th & Tyler to see floats parked along Tyler St.

Thanks so much to Beth Duke of Center City of Amarillo for stopping by High Plains Morning today, reminding those in the Texas Panhandle that TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! Don't miss the annual Electric Light Parade in downtown Amarillo, TX—and this year, it's REVERSE. All cars will enter the "reverse parade" on 15th and Tyler to view the many floats that will be set up along the edge of Tyler Street. At the end, head over to Another Chance House to enjoy food trucks, a candy cane village, and Santa! (Oh-ho-ho, and Santa will also be on the porch at the historic Bivins Mansion on 1000 S. Polk St. from 4 to 5:30p!) Spread the word, and celebrate this holiday tradition safely and together, from your own vehicle! Hear my interview witih Beth on the link at the top of this page.
