Today on High Plains Morning, we welcomed these two devoted “navigators” from AAA of the Panhandle on the air to encourage those on deck for receiving social security and Medicare benefits to get the facts. The organization just launched a new program called “Destination Medicare,” and the first two sessions are coming up on Tuesday, March 29thfrom 9a-12p CT and Thursday, March 31stfrom 5:30-8:30p CT. MORE ABOUT THE EVENT (from the press release): Join AAA of the Panhandle as they will be navigating Medicare Educational Opportunities every quarter during this 2022 current year. The programs will all be the same, just held at various times throughout the year. These events will be held at the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission (415 SW 8th, Amarillo, TX). People approaching 65 years of age will want to take advantage of ONE of the classes which will be available at times listed below:
Tuesday, March 29th at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Thursday, March 31st at 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 14th at 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 16th at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Tuesday, September 20th at 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Thursday, September 29th at 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m
The focus for these events is for future Medicare Beneficiaries turning 65 who will have an opportunity to learn about the basics of Medicare. Registration is required. Seating is limited for future Medicare Beneficiaries.
