One Small Step: Nancy Harness & Eric Keller

Nancy Harness & Eric Keller

Today, we feature a conversation between two High Plains residents for HPPR's collaboration with the StoryCorps One Small Step initiative. In this story, we hear from Nancy Harness of Lawrence, KS and her brother Eric Keller of Garden City, KS as they discuss their differences in opinion regarding the Covid vaccine.

High Plains Public Radio has teamed up with StoryCorps for their One Small Step initiative, where two people with different perspectives on an issue come together for a conversation about their beliefs.

In this story, we hear from Nancy Harness of Lawrence, KS and her brother Eric Keller of Garden City, KS. There are nine years between them, so they see their worldviews as being influenced by the time periods in which they came of age: Nancy in the 1960s and 70s, with the civil rights and women’s movements; and Eric in the Reagan conservatism of the 1980s. Here they address the issue of getting a covid vaccine.

One Small Step stories air Wednesday, December 22nd and Friday, December 24th at 7:45am during Morning Edition and at 5:44pm during All Things Considered.
