  • A lifelong journalist, Caitlin is now telling stories of a different kind at KCUR by managing the station’s grant and external communications programs. She was born into a journalism family and grew up reading the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as well as The Kansas City Star. She graduated from the University of Kansas and immediately entered into a newspaper career that took her to Springfield, Missouri, Dallas and Kansas City.

A graduate of UT-Austin, Bobby spent his first year out of college at The Dallas Morning News as a reporting fellow, covering Texas politics and breaking news. He got his start in journalism in the poorly lit basement of The Daily Texan, followed by internships at the Houston Chronicle, KUT News and yes, the Tribune. Born and raised in the Houston area, Bobby is a native Texan. He relies on a steady supply of Tex-Mex and Red Bull to survive.
  • Kate Payne is an Iowa City-based reporter for Iowa Public Radio. Before she came to the Hawkeye State she was a reporter and fill-in host for WFSU, the NPR member station in Tallahassee, Florida. Kate has won awards for her political and feature reporting and her sound editing.
  • William Jones is a Supervising Editor for Morning Edition and the Up First podcast. He's no stranger to public media, having worked previously as a reporter and producer for New York's PBS station, WNET. During his time there he was nominated for an Emmy for his piece on New York's oldest bar, McSorley's Old Ale House.
  • Isabelle Link comes to High Plains Public Radio from Amarillo College. She’s studying in the Mass Media program, specifically focusing on broadcast and journalism. With an expected graduation date of May 2020, her dream is to work in broadcast radio as a reporter or announcer. While in college, Isabelle has travelled with Student Media to Waco and Minneapolis for journalism competitions and conferences to hone her skills in her field. She won First Place at the Texas Community College Journalism competition for her radio feature with reporting from Baylor University. Isabelle was also the recipient of the Jerome McDonough Mass Communication Award for Outstanding Excellence Spring 2019. We’re thrilled she’s joined the HPPR team, assisting with regional news, promotions, and community outreach.

  • Hady Mawajdeh is an Arts Reporter and Digital Editor for KERA’s Art & Seek. Hady came to KERA from Austin where worked on “The national daily news show of Texas,” Texas Standard. At the Standard, Hady crafted stories and segments about the topics and headlines that mattered most to Texans.
