When not updating High Plains residents on the current weather conditions, managing station promos, and scheduling special programming, he likes playful games of badminton and hanging out with his four-legged, feline companion Enzo. Jake also helps out with countless projects behind the scenes, where he has been known to drink his weight in bubbly water. He also managed HPPR's One Small Step podcast, curating voices from High Plains residents in conversation to find common ground.

Dr. Gary Girod is a historian who received his Ph.D. in modern British & French history from the University of Houston in 2021.

Dr. Rebekah Wagenbach is the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Education, and Assistant Professor of History and Political Science at Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

Brett Neely is an editor with NPR's Washington Desk, where he works closely with NPR Member station reporters on political coverage and edits stories about election security and voting rights.

Born and raised in Champaign, Illinois, Ken hosted his first public radio air shift as a jazz host in September of 1988, leading to a lifetime love of public radio. As program director, Ken oversees the programming and operations departments in Garden City and Amarillo, joining HPPR in May of 2020 after previously acting as Assistant PD/Operations Manager/On-Air Fundraising Producer at St. Louis Public Radio until 2000.

Nick Michael is the Acting Supervising Editor for Video at NPR. He joined NPR in 2014 as the lead video producer for Jazz Night in America, NPR's first program with companion radio and video content. Jazz Night's 2017 portfolio earned a Peabody nomination and a Webby Award for Online Film & Video. Since then, he has co-managed the growth of NPR's award-winning video team, highlights of which include co-crafting the look of NPR's signature interviews with President Obama, leading NPR's experimentation with 360 video and audio and coordinating 22 filmmakers across the country to document 2017's solar eclipse. Before NPR, Michael co-founded 1504, a creative video studio now based in Birmingham, Ala. He earned a masters in photojournalism at the Missouri School of Journalism.
