Downtown Women’s Center is celebrating our 37th anniversary in 2026! We would be honored for you to join us at our DWC Spring Luncheon, on May 5, 2026, 11:30-1:00, at the Civic Center in the North Exhibit Hall.

When you were a child, did you dream of being someone special like a police officer, doctor, or teacher? Did you follow your life’s dreams? Our ladies never dreamed of being an alcoholic, addict, or homeless person. As little girls, they dreamed of being doctors, ballerinas, nurses, teachers, and much more. Drugs, alcohol, and homelessness stole their dreams.

Through our four DWC shelters, we are serving 60 women and their 20+ children. For those who graduated from our DWC Recovery Program in 2024, 100% are still clean and sober over two years later – by the grace of God and a lot of hard work!

Please, come and see what we are doing at DWC for homeless women in recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions. We are also serving their children with many of the same services given to their moms. These services include therapy, groups, fun activities, and professional case management, where dreams are verbalized, goals are set to achieve their dreams, and hope is given that anything is possible if we live clean and sober lives.
