Every day, a service dog team is wrongfully denied access to a public space, even though this right is federally protected by the ADA.

We will enjoy an evening of connection, refreshments, real stories from service dog handlers, and a short practical training on welcoming service dog teams in our community.

Service dog handlers, business owners, and neighbors are all welcome to our event. Together, we can build a community where service animal teams are respected, included, and welcomed everywhere.

Kick off United Way of Dodge City’s 2026-2027 campaign with us, then stick around to watch the Dodge City Red Demons as they take on the Great Bend Panthers on Senior Night, Friday, Oct. 2!

Join us for an evening of community, food and football! Enjoy a hotdog, chips and a drink on us.

Tailgating starts at 5:45 p.m. and the game will kick off at 7 p.m.

This year United Way of Dodge City is celebrating 80 years of living united in the southwest Kansas community. Free-will donations welcome.

Book lovers and bargain hunters are sure to be delighted by the twice monthly Friends of the Library book sale at the Dodge City Public Library on the first Saturday and third Thursday of the month.

Come and find some new-to-you books!

(Books are also available for sale during regular library hours in the Book Nook located on the main floor.)

Leave the kids at home and "Live in the Moment" at this event, which aims to educate Hispanic women in our community about the significance of breast cancer awareness, self-examinations and annual mammograms.

Dia de la Mujer, or Women's Day Out, features live music, entertainment and most importantly, lectures from two renowned Hispanic motivational speakers from the medical world.

We believe that with your generous support, this event will significantly contribute to our mission and goals, making a meaningful difference in our community's health and unity. Get your Christmas shopping out of the way early this year at the 14th Annual American Legion Post 47 Fall Rummage Sale!

This will take place at the post from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.

LOTS OF MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS will be for sale. All proceeds benefit veterans programs.

This event is FREE, however visitors are encouraged to bring items to donate to benefit the residents of the Fort Dodge Soldiers Home pantry.

Items they need include: paper products, cleaning supplies and snacks. (No canned goods needed at this time)

The public is invited to a FREE celebration of recovery from drug and alcohol dependence Saturday, Oct. 10 at New Chance, Inc.

This annual Break the Cycle event has a Death to Dawn theme and begins at 3 p.m. with games and activities for the whole family, including a bouncy house, ring toss and face painting.
Special guest speakers will share their stories at 4 and 5:30 p.m.
A free meal and dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
A raffle/auction will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

New Chance, Inc., is a non-profit organization that has been helping folks recover from addition for more than 50 years.

The Kind House Ukraine Bakery in Amarillo, a special volunteer-run non-profit bakery located at 4715 S Western St., will play host to its annual community dinner to help raise funds for humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

The dinner will take place in the Vermillion Gallery at Arts in the Sunset from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11. You will hear stories about what Ukrainians are facing right now and be a part of making a positive impact.

100% of the evening's proceeds will go directly toward coal, medicine, food and rescue operations. EVERY BITE SAVES A LIFE!

The bakery is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Soup and sandwiches for lunch are served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Every loaf of sourdough bread, box of cinnamon rolls, and dozen custom cupcakes we sell goes directly toward humanitarian aid for families living through the war in Ukraine. You get something delicious. They get a lifeline.

The Big Cheese is The Hope & Healing Place’s biggest fundraiser of the year, bringing our community together for a day full of great food, fun, and friendly competition. All while supporting free grief programs for children, families, and individuals in our community. Come hungry, bring your friends, and help us turn a fun day out into HOPE for those who need it most!!

Tickets are $30, and kids under 13 get in free.
