Shi Lee’s BBQ & Soul Food, in partnership with the Vessel of Humanity and Compassion, is hosting the 8th Annual Community Trunk or Treat & Winter Coat Giveaway on Saturday, October 28th at 3pm at Bones Hooks Park on Hughes.

For the past few years, we have incorporated a winter coat giveaway with the Halloween festivities. In past years, we have been able to amass a few thousand winter coats for the children to have just before inclement weather sets in. Tremaine Brown coordinates this event with the area school district, daycare centers, and even the bus barn, so you can imagine the turnout. If you haven’t attended this event, PLEASE COME! We are hoping to help all the kids that show up to the event with some winter gear.

FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN DONATION: We are accepting all size coats, hats, and gloves. Those donations can be brought directly to Shi Lee’s (1213 SW 3rd Ave.) in Amarillo. There is also a way to make monetary donations on the foundations website: www.BeBlessedByTheVessel.org.
