Fall Concert: Of Rivers Within
NOVEMBER 3, 2023, 7:30PM @ First Baptist Church Amarillo
Amarillo Master Chorale is excited to present the southwest premiere of an oratorio entitled Of Rivers Within by American composer Mark Kilstofte. This stunning multi-movement work forms the core of a larger, water-themed program which also features Eric Whitacre’s “Cloudburst”, Christopher Tin’s “Baba Yetu”, and other inspiring works for choir and orchestra. The Master Chorale will be joined by French-American soprano soloist Jazmin Black Grollemund, as well as local gospel musician Devlon Jones and members of the First Baptist Youth Choirs.

AMC is proud to be a community partner of Amarillo College, and we are especially grateful to First Baptist Church of Amarillo for supporting us in this endeavor. We hope to harness the power of music to lift the spirits of all in attendance while also raising community awareness of efforts by local non-profit 25:35 Water to address the global fresh-water crisis. AMC’s fall concert “Of Rivers Within” is a special community event hosted by FBC Amarillo and made available to you AT NO CHARGE through the kind support of several very generous donors. Due to space restrictions, the event must still be ticketed. Please use the following link to reserve tickets for your party, which will be held under YOUR name (the one registering) and available at the will-call table starting one hour before the concert. **If you need to reserve more tickets at a later date, please submit a separate request indicating only how many ADDITIONAL tickets you require.**

As an alternative to online registration, tickets can also be acquired in person by visiting the Amarillo College Music Office (MB 304) or the Music Suite at First Baptist Church of Amarillo.
