Multiple band and solo artists performing a variety of genres live on stage from 12:00 -5:00 PM at To Boldly go and Home Again, celebrating the Route 66 Festival.

Texas Songwriter/Icon George Ensle will be presenting a Songwriting Workshop on Saturday June 14 at Chalice Abbey. The workshop starts at 2pm. admission is $25.00. George is a veteran of the 60's Houston music scene, where his contemporaries included Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and Billy Joe Shaver. His career highlights and awards are too numerous to list here- you can check out his website georgeensle.com. This is a rare opportunity spend some time with a true songwriting legend. The Garden City Municipal Band presents its 147th consecutive season of providing quality entertainment for Garden City. The band will present weekly concerts on Friday evenings from May 30 through July 18th at 7:30 pm at Stevens Park Bandshell. The week of Independence Day will be an exception, with the regular concert occurring on Wednesday, the 3rd, at 7:30 at the bandshell and a 4th of July concert at 8 pm at the gazebo on the west lawn of Lee Richardson Zoo preceding the fireworks display.
