Albuquerque Civic Plaza will be the locale for a two-day global hoedown! ¡Globalquerque! will once again feature an amazing array of artists, from the traditional to the most cutting edge! This year's linup includes Brazilian singer/songwriter/activist Bia Ferreria, the 10-piece riotous all-women Balkan Paradise Orchestra (Spain/The Balkans), Swedish folk-rockers Fränder, New Orleans Indian/funk band Cha Wa, the cross-cultural collisions that are Sidy Samb & AfroFlamenco (Sénégal/Spain) and inprovisational multi-cultural percussion group The Forest and special guests (Spokane/Guinea/USA/Latin/Taos Pueblo/South Africa), the innovative Brazil-meets-NOLA-in-NYC jazz-funk of Nation Beat and the beautiful melodic female led son jorocho group Caña Dulce y Caña Brava (México).

And it is all free!

There will be New Mexico Beer and Wine and International Food Trucks serving various cuisines for purchase.
