Our translator station serving St. Francis and Cheyenne County at 96.3 FM is off the air due to an air conditioning breakdown at its leased transmitter site, making it too hot for HPPR's equipment to operate. We are currently working to fix the situation. We apologize for the loss of service and ask listeners to tune to KZNK at 90.1 FM or listen on line through the player above or HPPR's mobile app.

The 25th Annual Salt & Pepper Luncheon benefitting the Catholic Charities InterFaith Hunger Project

The 25th Annual Salt & Pepper Luncheon benefitting the Catholic Charities InterFaith Hunger Project

The Salt & Pepper Luncheon began 25 years ago after a volunteer delivered food to a homebound client who had no food. While the volunteer filled her pantry and refrigerator, the client was making soup. She was boiling water and adding salt and pepper to taste because she had no other food. We are humbled not only to share this story and remember it each year, but to also highlight how devastating food insecurity can be. We also celebrate the resilience of Texas Panhandle people who find ways to "make do".

We invite you to help fight for food security! Our program serves low-income people who are either on disability or are over fifty (50) years old. We rely on your help to keep our shelves full so the people we serve can choose from healthy, nutritious, and delicious food.

We are honored to have Andy Justus, our MC, Chef Bud Anderson, our chef, and Julian Reese, our keynote speaker share this journey with you. Please join us in this worhtwhile endeavor.
