VoteRiders Voter ID Information and Free Assistance

VoteRiders (www.voteriders.org) is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that voter ID laws do not prevent any eligible voters from casting a ballot due to voter ID laws, either directly from lack of acceptable ID or indirectly because of voter confusion. VoteRiders educates voters and assists citizens to secure their voter ID, with all services provided free of cost.

In-Person Voting:
Want to vote in Texas, but wonder if you have the right ID? You can use a Texas driver’s license or state ID card, even if it expired in the last four years. Or a military ID, passport or handgun license.Or you can use a current utility bill or paycheck if you sign a form at the polls!

Vote-By-Mail
Texas voters! Plan to vote by mail? You must provide Voter ID information twice: on the application for your absentee ballot and also when you submit the ballot itself. You can use your Texas driver’s license or state ID card number, Texas election ID certificate or the last 4 digits of your social security number.
