Ziona Riley is a Nashville based singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist originally from Bloomington, Indiana. A natural storyteller, Riley writes odd, clever songs that stretch the imagination, illuminating color and feeling in the interplay between chord voicings, melodies and idiomatic wordplay. Despite an apparent dearth of recorded material, Ziona has made a name for herself in Nashville and in cities across the country with finely tuned and introspective live performances. Though she is a self-contained artist in her own right, some have compared her to chamber folk artists Vashti Bunyan and Nick Drake as well as offbeat singer songwriters Connie Converse and Terre Roche. She is currently embarking on her first solo tour of the Southwest with her brother, Nathaniel, and dog, Crystal.
