Our translator station serving St. Francis and Cheyenne County at 96.3 FM is off the air due to an air conditioning breakdown at its leased transmitter site, making it too hot for HPPR's equipment to operate. We are currently working to fix the situation. We apologize for the loss of service and ask listeners to tune to KZNK at 90.1 FM or listen on line through the player above or HPPR's mobile app.

All Things Artful 2019: "Recycle & Reimagine" on 4/26 at Amarillo Art Institute

Thanks to Rachel Flores, Executive Director at Amarillo Art Institute, for stopping by High Plains Morning to share details about the upcoming All Things Artful Art Festival, the nonprofit's annual fundraiser to help support their many educational and outreach efforts across the TX Panhandle. It's Friday, April 26th from 5-8p CT, and it's going to be a blast. Get tickets now and keep arts programs cheap and accessible to kids, low-income residents, older adults in residential care, and at-risk populations who benefit greatly from AAI's efforts. There's a silent auction, live music, demonstrations, interactive installations, refreshments, and more. See you there!

Jenny Inzerillo joined HPPR in 2015 as the host of High Plains Morning, our live music program that airs weekdays at 9 am to noon CST. Broadcasting from KJJP in beautiful downtown Amarillo, she helps listeners wake up with inspired music from our region and beyond. Tune in for new voices in folk/Americana, deep cuts from your favorite artists, soulful tracks from singer/songwriters across the world, and toe-tapping classics dating as far back as the 1920s. Plus, discover underground greats that just might be your new favorite band.
