At a recent Prowers County, Colorado, Commissioner meeting, The Prowers Journalreported unanimous approval was given to an ordinance prohibiting marijuana cultivation facilities, manufacturing facilities, testing facilities, and retail stores within the unincorporated portions of the county.
Commissioner Chairman, Joe Marble, said the action reflected two previous county voting cycles. Voters were emphatic about the commercial prohibition of marijuana and forestalling implementation of Amendment 64.
The ordinance becomes effective 30 days after the first official publication. During that time, public comments will be accepted.
