There are completely different responses to the Obama administration’s recent proposal to combat climate change in Oklahoma and Texas.
Texas politicians are blasting the EPA’s regional haze rules, and are likely to challenge them in court according to a recent article from the Texas Tribune.
Oklahoma's largest utility company, Oklahoma Gas and Electric is taking steps to comply with the federal regulations. Two of its coal-fired plants at the Muskogee power plant will be converted to natural gas, and air scrubbers will be installed at the Sooner plant reported StateImpact Oklahoma.
