Kansas has made the top 10 list of most moved out states.

According to the 43rd Annual National Movers Study by United Van Lines, at 58.5 percent,  Kansas ranked fifth in the category “Top 10 states people moved from.”

Percentages are based on total moves for that state in 2019, so 41.5 percent were inbound moves.

Colorado, Nebraska and Oklahoma each landed on the survey as balanced states, meaning nearly the same number of residents moved in as moved out.

Meanwhile, Texas landed in the category of medium inbound with more people moving in than out.

The top inbound states of 2019 from one to 10 were Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, South Carolina, Washington, District of Columbia, Florida, South Dakota, North Carolina and New Mexico.

The top outbound states from one to ten were New Jersey, Illinois, New York, Connecticut, Kansas, Ohio, California, Michigan, North Dakota and Iowa.
