KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at 15% of power, limiting its signal strength and range in the Amarillo-Canyon area. This due to complicated problems with its very old transmitter. Local engineers are continuing to work on the transmitter and are consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR Mix service or HPPR Connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

David Garcia

David is a student at Wichita State University studying Communication with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communication.

He has worked at WSU’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion as the marketing intern since September 2019, creating marketing materials and assisting in social media management. Upon graduation, David hopes to work in communications for nonprofit organizations.

David is a longtime listener to KMUW, thanks to his father constantly tuning in on the radio, and he is ecstatic to work as a News Intern. He hopes to develop new skills professionally and personally during his time with KMUW.

When he’s not working or studying, David likes listening to music and playing video games.
