Ruth Ellen Lynch

Ruth Ellen Lynch, Texas Underwriting Representative, joined us in November 2016 and works with Panhandle area businesses, individuals, and organizations to secure financial support for HPPR programming. “I’m excited to bring my marketing and media sales expertise to the table,” she says. “This station has so much to offer our underwriters. I look forward to discussing how businesses can influence communities through their support of  knowledge, quality journalism, and diversity.” 

As a long time HPPR listener, she enjoys the variety of programming including jazz, blues, classical, and NPR news and information. Ruth Ellen has also co-hosted several holiday shows throughout the years, and she’s thrilled to start her new career with the station. Upon joining the staff, she said, “It feels like I’ve returned home.”  

The Amarillo native spent 10 years living in Memphis, TN where she honed her craft as an actor/singer. She has appeared in nationally-distributed training and consumer ad campaign, as well as an independent film, Dogme: Potluck. She has also had the honor of working with legendary recording artists The Temptations.

Ruth Ellen is active in the Amarillo business community. She enjoys chilling with her family and friends, taking photography in nature, and traveling. Her bucket list features a new and exciting destination each and every year. “I know that I am truly blessed and can’t wait to experience as much of this beautiful world as I possibly can.”
