It is hoped that this work will completed within the next few days with KZNA back to its full 100,000 watts of power with a state of the art transmitter to serve the area for many years to come.
If you can't receive KZNA at its reduced power, you can listen via the digital stream directly above or on the HPPR mobile app. For questions please contact station staff at (800) 678-7444 or by emailing hppr@hppr.org

How High Plains States Could Be Impacted By China Tariffs

CC0 Creative Commons

The United States’ trade war with China could have long-lasting effects beyond the current growing season.

Today, China put tariffs on $34 billion worth of American imports in response to American tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce says Chinese, Canadian and Mexican tariffs will impact exports in High Plains states to varying degrees.

Texas will be the hardest hit by the tariffs at almost $4 billion. About $360 million in Kansas exports are threatened; Nebraska’s exports will be impacted to the tune of $327 million; Colorado will see a $277 million hit; about $208 million in exports will be threatened in Oklahoma.
