Linda Ronstadt was not only the voice of California in the 70’s; she had a huge impact on an entire generation of singers and songwriters and became a cultural icon in the process. Whether you were a die-hard fan, a casual listener, or an avid hater, you couldn’t ignore her influence or deny her talent. She had an uncanny knack for knowing a great song when she heard one, regardless of the genre.
You may have heard the news that Ronstadt has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. This Friday on High Plains Morning we’ll listen to some of Linda’s music as well as music from some of the songwriters that she exposed us to.
