David Waddle joins HPPR as the new host of Western Swing Radio Rambler. For as long as this station's been on the air, he has been living the life of a would-be Western Swing host for a regional public radio station. He has been a country-and-Western dance instructor, live music entertainer, singer-songwriter, and advocate for Western Swing music across the Texas panhandle. (He also has some serious talent when it comes to making chili.) HPPR is thrilled to welcome David to our Saturday lineup of regional music programming, and we're kicking up our heels at knowing that Western Swing is back on HPPR!

Oliver Wang is an culture writer, scholar, and DJ based in Los Angeles. He's the author of Legions of Boom: Filipino American Mobile DJ Crews of the San Francisco Bay Area and a professor of sociology at CSU-Long Beach. He's the creator of the audioblog soul-sides.com and co-host of the album appreciation podcast, Heat Rocks.

Darius Rafieyan joined NPR in 2017 as the founding producer of The Indicator from Planet Money. He has produced stories about infectious disease outbreaks, the world's greatest air salesman, and the economics of Tinder.

Matt Guilhem is a native of the Inland Empire. After growing up in the region, he went north to Berkeley for university and earned a degree in English. Matt's passion for radio developed late; he hosted a program while abroad in 2011 and knew he had found his calling. Matt started at KVCR as an intern in 2013; he now serves as both a reporter and host for the station. You can hear him regularly most weekday afternoons on All Things Considered, occasionally filling in on Morning Edition, and filing news reports for both programs.
