KZNA-FM 90.5 serving northwest Kansas will be off the air starting the afternoon of Monday, October 20 through Friday as we replace its aging and unreliable transmitter. While we're off-air, you can keep listening to our digital stream directly above this alert or on the HPPR mobile app. This planned project is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining free and convenient access to public radio service via FM radio to everyone in the listening area. WT School of Music Student Ensembles

This week Classical Music Amarillo celebrates finals week at West Texas A&M University with a program of performances by student ensembles from the WT School of Music!

School is *almost* out for summer! This week students of the WT School of Music face their finals, so we thought we would celebrate their hard work here on the radio show. You can look forward to hearing the WT Saxophone Ensemble, the WT Symphony, and the WT Alumni Band on the program this week. They'll be playing music by Marc Mellits, Peter Boyer, Daniel Freiberg, Florence Price (arranged by William Grant Still), Henri Vieuxtemps, and WT's own BJ Brooks!

HPPR's new host for Classical Music Amarillo, Dr. Kimberly Hieb, brings her rich knowledge of music history to our regional classical music program.
