County residents are able to show off their work in the expo hall. This is where contest are held and you can see the hard work of talented residents. With awards for painting, quilting, canning, flower bouquets, ceramics and many more talents up for grabs.
Join us for a storytime, discussion, and book signing with local youth author Kaitlyn Clements. Kaitlyn will be in conversation with Kay Brizzolara, a local educator, and Stan Tucker from Leap for Literacy. Kaitlyn will read her own book for a storytime before joining Stan on Zoom to answer audience questions. The conversation will continue in person with Kay, followed by a book signing. Attendees are invited to make their own bookmarks at our crafting station during the event.
Born in Albany, NY, Kaitlyn moved to Texas with her parents. In addition to being an author, Kaitlyn is an active middle school student at St Andrew’s Episcopal School where she is a member of National Junior Honor Society, the track and tennis teams, and the school orchestra.
Stan Tucker will be available on Zoom to reveal the process behind publishing Kaitlyn's book and answer questions from other young readers.
Kay Brizzolara is a longtime educator from St Andrew's Episcopal School and Kaitlyn's former teacher.
Copies of "Grandma Never Says No" will be available to purchase at the event.
