KZNA-FM 90.5 serving northwest Kansas will be off the air starting the afternoon of Monday, October 20 through Friday as we replace its aging and unreliable transmitter. While we're off-air, you can keep listening to our digital stream directly above this alert or on the HPPR mobile app. This planned project is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining free and convenient access to public radio service via FM radio to everyone in the listening area. Taste the World: Amarillo's Global Food Scene

Awarded Outstanding Fundraising Event of 2024 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Taste the World - Amarillo's Global Food Scene is back after a wildly successful inaugural year!

All you can eat international flavors, all in one place, all for one price! Get a taste of some of the many cultures that call Amarillo home at this unique event that you can't find anywhere else in town. One entry ticket gets you access to unlimited samples from foods representing countries and cultures from around the world. Local chefs from Laos, India, Haiti, Ukraine, El Salvador and more will come together to create a culinary adventure sure to satisfy everyone! From the fan favorite crowd pleasers to the more adventurous options, we guarantee a tour of tastes like you've never before experienced in Amarillo. Combined with live music from Chill Son, it’s the perfect spot for a unique night out with friends. Tickets are $35 per person, increasing to $40 starting October 15th, so snag yours early! We sold out last year and are expecting the same again in 2025. Who will you invite to Taste the World with you?

All proceeds from this event go to support Refugee Language Project, a local non-profit that uses language as a doorway to welcome displaced people for the flourishing of the community and the glory of God. Sponsored by High Plains Christian Ministries Foundation.
