Missouri Shoemaker Invents Cowboy Boot Sandals

The website Mashable.com reports that a cobbler in Missouri has found a way to make cowboy boots more breathable for the summertime by fashioning cowboy boot sandals from old pairs of boots. These new boot sandals retain the top part of the boot—the part that surrounds the calf and ankle, but the lower part has been converted into a flip-flop. According to Scotty Franklin, the man who makes the boots, you can finally keep your ankles warm and your feet cool and dry. And the boot-sandals only cost $50.

While the boots are certainly cooler than the traditional version, walking in rattlesnake-infested areas in them is ill-advised.
