Open Hearts, Open Doors: Another Chance House Welcomes You This Saturday in Amarillo

Today, Mollie Swafford stopped by High Plains Morning to remind us that the OPEN HOUSE at Another Chance House is this Saturday, June 8th from 11a – 2p at 209 S. Jackson in Amarillo. (If this sounds like déjà vu, it’s because the original date was April, but it was rescheduled due to bad weather.)

This Saturday, here’s the rundown for the Open House:

11 am:                   Property tours begin

Noon:                   Burgers from the ACH Grill

12:30 - 2pm:       Entertainment

***LIVE MUSIC from MARY LYN & DEAN

1 pm:                     Resident Testimony

For those who don’t know, ANOTHER CHANCE HOUSE is a long-term residential shelter for men facing housing insecurity, over the age of 18. They can provide shelter for up to 57 guys facing housing insecurity, helping to guide them on a path toward success and self-sufficiency. Also, there’s no time limit at Another Chance House. Whether it’s six months or six years, this shelter will work with clients to get them on their feet with a network of support. They also work with the VA’s Housing First program, where vets can enter care for six months, which offers housing, food, clothing, referrals, access to services, and more.

Learn more about their mission to provide a path toward self-sufficiency for homeless men. You can tour the campus, meet the residents, and the staff. If you have questions or want to get on the wait list for their services, call Mollie at 806.372.3344.
