Beyond Ballerinas: Edgar Degas Exhibit in Canadian Closes on November 1st

Hear our full interview with Robert Flynn Johnson about this spectacular exhibit at the Citadelle in Canadian, TX.

Art lovers of the High Plains! Don’t miss your chance to see a spectacular exhibit featuring Edgar Degas and his contemporaries, on display through November 1st at The Citadelle in Canadian, Texas. With 77 works on paper—about half of which are by Degas—you’ll get a glimpse into the artist’s process and prowess, as well as those of his inner circle. This show was curated by Robert Flynn Johnson, and he also happens to be the owner of this exciting collection. Johnson entitled this exhibit “Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist,” and we talked to him about the pieces, his choice to bring the show to rural regions, and what aspiring collectors can do to begin acquiring important pieces like those on display in this show.

Hear the full interview on the link at the top of this page. If you have any questions about the exhibit, you can reach out to Wendie Cook at the Citadelle at 806.323.8899.
