Amarillo: There are still recycling options

wikipedia.org

Republic Recyclery closed last month in Amarillo, but there are still recycling options according to the Amarillo Globe-News.

KB Recycling has been in operation since February 2008, and recently moved into a new facility to begin processing themselves.  It is co-owned by Chris Bunnett.

KB collects all kinds of paper, cardboard, plastics 1 and 2 and aluminum cans. Its customer ratio is about 60 percent residential, but its ratio is about 90 percent commercial when it comes to measuring the volume of material collected, Bunnett said.

Four States Recycling used to process KB’s collections.  It is owned by Ed Pruitt.  They recycle paper, cardboard, plastic and cans, and have been in business over 35 years.

“So far this year, we have processed over 4,000 tons of product that has been kept out of the landfills,” Pruitt said.

Much of his material comes from businesses, but Four States does take materials from the public.
