It is hoped that this work will completed on Thursday with KZNA back to its full 100,000 watts of power with a state of the art transmitter to serve the area for many years to come.
If you can't receive KZNA at its reduced power, you can listen via the digital stream directly above or on the HPPR mobile app. For questions please contact station staff at (800) 678-7444 or by emailing hppr@hppr.org

"From the Udder to the Gutter:" Whole Milk on High Plains Morning

Thanks so much to Alec and Mariah of Whole Milk for sharing their distinctive "surf jazz" sound on High Plains Morning today. If you're in the Texas Panhandle, you can check them out TONIGHT at Mariposa Eco-Village (1501 N. Soncy, Amarillo) or again on Tuesday night at GoldenLight Cantina (2906 SW 6th, Amarillo). Click below for our full interview and their in-studio performance.

At Mariposa tonight, they’ll play with Lake Dads + Smooth Taste. It runs from 7-11pm. Cover is $5, so please bring cash for the door. There will also be a local art show, and Pizza Nomad will be on site + frozen fruit pops from El Tropico. If you have questions, call Kegan at (806) 463-9324.

More about Whole Milk: “Whole Milk is a touring surf jazz duo from Denver, Colorado. Following the release of their debut self-titled EP in April 2017, the band has toured extensively, having played over 150 shows on 8 tours across 28 US states and 3 countries in the past year. With two voices, bass and guitar, Alec Reid (guitar) and Mariah George (bass), create a nostalgic soundscape reminiscent of Cosmo Pike and King Krule plus Chet Baker’s sad jazz with an undertow of surf. Find their music on Soundcloud, Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp. For tour updates and to keep up with the band’s day-to-day, you can find Whole Milk on Facebook (@wholemilkshredz) or check out their VHS-themed Instagram (@wholemilk.mp3).
