Nation of Islam

Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the Muslim Brotherhood, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and its local Texas chapters, asking a court to shut them down. His office previously argued the local chapters were not part of Texas' foreign terrorist designation.

United Nation of Islam, a quasi-religious group based in Kansas City, Kansas, was accused of forcing children to endure long, unpaid work days while living in crowded conditions with strict diets. Sentences for the six leaders range from five years of probation to 10 years in prison.
