Texas Governor's race

A win for Greg Abbott in November would put the Republican on track to becoming the longest serving governor of Texas. For Democrat Gina Hinojosa, an Austin-area Texas House member, a win would break a 30-plus year Republican streak in the office.

Gov. Greg Abbott was endorsed by Texas Teamsters, a labor union that has historically supported Democrats. Other large unions still back his Democratic opponent.

Abbott raised almost $23 million from July through December, while his leading Democratic challenger, state Rep. Gina Hinojosa, brought in $1.3 million in the last 10 weeks of 2025.
