KZNA-FM 90.5 serving northwest Kansas is operating at just 10% power using a back up transmitter while work continues to install a new transmitter. It is hoped that this work will completed on Thursday with KZNA back to its full 100,000 watts of power with a state of the art transmitter to serve the area for many years to come.
If you can't receive KZNA at its reduced power, you can listen via the digital stream directly above or on the HPPR mobile app. For questions please contact station staff at (800) 678-7444 or by emailing hppr@hppr.org

Friends of Fogelberg: How it started

The loss of Dan Fogelberg touched the lives of many musicians.  It spurred Joe Ed Coffman to take action.  Less than a year after Fogelberg's death, Coffman had organized the first Friends of Fogelberg concert with all the proceeds going to the fight against prostate cancer.  That was 2008.  Coffman thought it would be a one-time shot, but with five concerts behind him, and over $150,000 raised, the effort continues.

The idea is expanding to Lubbock this September, with a performance by Lubbock based musicians on September 18.

The Amarillo event is tonight, venue and ticketing information is available from: friendsoffogelberg.com.

This Saturday, there will be a free prostate screening at the Westgate Mall from 10 am to 2 pm.  There will also be a car show during the testing.  This is a simple blood test.  There is no charge for this test.
