KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Discover Texas's YO Ranch

Luke Clayton

Join Luke this week on High Plains Outdoors and visit with Debbie Hagebusch, Director of Tourism for the famous Y.O. Ranch in Texas  www.yoranchheadquarters.com .

The Y.O. Ranch was established in 1880 by Charles Schreiner and em compassed over one-half million acres. The Y.O. introduced exotic animals for hunting back around 1950 and now and Texas is "the" destination for hunting animals such as Axis and Fallow deer, blackbuck antelope and a host of other animals.

The Y.O. now offers excellent hunting but also a great deal more, including tours, fine dining and even an RV park. Check out the website www.yoranchheadquarters.com for planning a summer vacation or hunting trip.

Outdoors writer, radio host and book author Luke Clayton has been addicted to everything outdoors related since his childhood when he grew up hunting and fishing in rural northeast Texas. Luke pens a weekly newspaper column that appears in over thirty newspapers.
