Another piece of the Downtown Amarillo development project has fallen into place.  Documents finalizing the property exchange between  Coca-Cola and Amarillo Economic Development Corp. are signed, sealed and delivered according to a recent article in the Amarillo Globe-News.

Coke has the incentives and partial property tax abatements it was seeking.  The city now has the property it wants to build a $30 million baseball stadium.

Before construction can begin on the stadium the city plans to build a $69 million convention center hotel and a $13 million parking garage.

Further details about the downtown project are available from the Amarillo Globe-News.
