KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at 15% of power, limiting its signal strength and range in the Amarillo-Canyon area. This due to complicated problems with its very old transmitter. Local engineers are continuing to work on the transmitter and are consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR Mix service or HPPR Connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Republicans believe they’ve finally establish a political foothold in Colorado, reports The Denver Post.

The latest polls indicate that Donald Trump’s stock has been rising in the state. Colorado, the Post noted, is the state where Democrats felt so confident last month that they diverted millions in television advertising to other, more competitive states.

This week a Reuters/Ipsos poll released showed Trump narrowly leading the state in a two-way race, 43 percent to 41 percent. Two other recent polls showed the race as a dead heat or within five percentage points. The numbers have tightened significantly, considering that Hillary Clinton has often held double-digit lead in Colorado over the past months.

Rick Ridder is a Democratic strategist. He says independent voters control the state. “The history in Colorado shows that it is difficult for a Democrat or a Republican to get over 50 percent of the vote,” he said.
