This year’s primary elections include statewide races for Governor and Secretary of State, as well as elections for the U.S. House, state house, local judges, and municipal government positions.
Here's how to vote in the primaries Tuesday
- Check online to see if you’re registered and have a party affiliation. You need to be registered to vote and affiliated with either the Republican or Democratic parties to vote in the primaries.
If you aren't registered, it’s too late to vote in the primaries, but you can register for the general elections up until Oct 16, 2018. - Find your polling place.
- Show up to vote on Tuesday, Aug. 7th between 7am-7pm with an ID. A driver’s license works, but here’s the full list of acceptable IDs.
To vote early:
Is Tuesday a bad day? Vote early! You can vote at your county election office during normal business hours up until noon on Monday, Aug. 6th.
