Our translator station serving St. Francis and Cheyenne County at 96.3 FM is off the air due to an air conditioning breakdown at its leased transmitter site, making it too hot for HPPR's equipment to operate. We are currently working to fix the situation. We apologize for the loss of service and ask listeners to tune to KZNK at 90.1 FM or listen on line through the player above or HPPR's mobile app.

CD of the week: New music from Lyal Strickland

Every now and then things just seem to fall in to place. Yesterday I came into work to prepare for today’s show, and I was concerned because I didn’t know what the featured CD for the week would be. I opened the mail and there it was in my hand.

Lyal Strickland’s new record is called ‘Balanced On Barbed Wire’ and it is a beautiful work; instantly captivating and engaging.

We will listen to ‘Balanced On Barbed Wire’ this week on High Plains Morning.

Mike Fuller remains our station's favorite prodigal son. Former Music Director of High Plains Public Radio, and host of High Plains Morning (2010-2015), he has returned to HPPR with a new show called What The Folk?—a signature mix of folk, roots, Americana, and more—woven together by a unifying theme. Tune in every Saturday night at 7pm CT for a two-hour mix that could only come from the man himself.
